{Legoland}

Ever since the boys found out their was a Legoland Discovery Center here, they have been soooo excited to go.  We promised them that we would go there for Parker's birthday since he was away at grandma H's house for his birthday last year.  He really wanted to have a friend party, but when we found out we were moving that was no longer an option He was so sad.  So, luckily Legoland was a good solution.  The boys had soccer games in the morning...then it was off to P-A-R-T-Y!

 It was so fun to see all of these statues of Lego's.  Of course, the kids wanted their picture taken with each one! 

 Even Obama was there!

 Afterwords, when I asked Parker what his favorite part was...his answer was this dragon ride.  Sophia was a little scared but in the end liked it.  I went on it with the kids one more time before we left and Sophi was reassuring me the whole time that it was ok.

There were bins and bins of Legos with ramps to race them against each other.  They were loving it.

 We went to a workshop where they taught us how to build a bumblebee.  Much too easy for the boys, but Sophi needed her mama's help.

 They explained how Lego's are made and all 3 kids listened so intently.  Parker and Sophia got  to help push the buttons to start the machines.  They loved helping, and the guide kept giving Sophi crazy instructions and she so innocently did everything he said including spinning around, covering her eyes and raising her hand at the same time.  It was so funny and when she realized he was kidding she just laughed at herself.

Waiting for the 3D Clutch Powers movie to start.  They had to pick their own seat...not by us and not by grandma.  Silly kids.

We were there for about 4 hours total.  Grandma and grandpa were there with us for about two of those hours.  The kids couldn't have been happier!

We left Legoland and headed over to a yummy burger spot nearby.  Parker on the other hand wanted Subway for dinner and it was his birthday so I took him to a sandwich shop which happened to be next door to the burger joint.  He wasn't so sure that it was going to be as good as Subway and I kept telling him it should be better.  As they pulled out the meat cutter and sliced the meat right there in front of us...he still wasn't convinced.  He got to have a rootbeer along with his sandwich (a rare treat) so I figured if he didn't approve, at least he had rootbeer!  Luckily, he loved the sandwich.

After dinner grandpa took Parker into the store and let him pick out his own birthday present.  He was so funny.  He walked in....walked right over to an alien Lego toy...got grandpa's ok, then said "let's go!"  He knew exactly what he wanted and didn't mess around!  Grandpa B said he would take Parker shopping anytime!

It was a good day....Tomorrow...round 2!
